Today is a dreary day so I am reminiscing back to when we traveled to Palo Duro Canyon. At the time, ben and I did not have kids and we traveled a lot. When we traveled to Palo duro it was winter time and we bundled up thinking we would be cold but by the time we were at the bottom of the canyon we were hot!
Palo Duro is one of those places that you don’t hear about to often though. As you are driving in the panhandle of texas, all you see is flat land until you see this major hole that was created a long time ago!
You hear about the Grande Canyon but this one I feel has been devalued. It is only 800ft down to the bottom of the canyon but it makes up for that in length. It actually is the 2nd largest canyon in the US. Its beauty will amaze you and if that doesn’t thrill you they have zip lining across part of the canyon.
Here are some photos we captured when we were there.
