All The Bells And Whistles

Some days I feel so empowered by God to just step out and just be me. Other days I forget about the beautiful creation God has made in me and think I need more than what he’s already given me. I feel and get overwhelmed that I don’t have all the bells and whistles…but if I’m not content in what I have I’ll just never be content.

  • I don’t need all the latest clothes.
  • I don’t need my blog to look the best.
  • I don’t need my life to be perfect.

I need Jesus. I need his love and guidance. He knows what I need and it’s not all the bells and whistles. My life can reflect him without looking perfect. For 3 years the Lord has consistently given me the verse below. Please, help me understand it and see it from your point of view.

8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12: 8-10
